i recently received my exhaust but i dont know if i received a knock off version of it because no where on the exhaust does it say hks but all the boxes said hks,made in japan

well if you dont believe the box, the seller, and your price tag, then wait a month and if the tips look like s*** then you will know...

 

They are cheap knock-offs from China. Sorry.

 

the real HKS doesn't actually says HKS on it. You'll know by the quality of it. If it doesn't look cheap than its real.

If you lay the hks next to that xo2 pos(does not sound the same!)you can tell the real deal.Put it on if it farts-you got ripped off...btw congrads,NICE CHOICE!

I think the difference is the tips! My HKS has blue tips, the XO2 has black ones, from what I understand!

 

Here's an idea. Search for pics of each and look for any discernible differences, such as the caps on the end of the resonators.

I'm nicer than a lot of the people here, so here are your pics (The top is X02, the bottom is HKS):

 

bright blue tips = HKS
brown/dull blue tips = x02

lol, i think the ox2 sounds better than the hks. quality wise, hks is the real deal, no rusting.
