Default evo2 or hks carbon ti

hey whats up. I am stuck between these exhaust. I love the way the hks carbon ti looks. Looks nice and I think it will complement the way my car looks with it being white with black parts. But I know I can't choose it based on that. On the other hand I have the greddy evo2. I have searched but have not found any dynos on this or the other one. All I hear is that both exhaust are loud with test pipes. Also I have heard that the evo2 tends to rattle. I want everyone opinion on what would be better. Future plans might just be a 100 shot. All input welcome

Oscar

the evo2 has a nice deep sound to it but with test pipes it gives out a horrible rasp. but i dont know some people can put up with the rasp and actually like it... damn sick z drivers... =)

ohh i see, well a buddy of mine is running greddy evo2 on his Z and honestly it sounds really nice until he put test pipes on but i guess the xpipe will give it back the nice deep tone.

If you do plan to run HFC's or TP's I would suggest the HKS. Greddy sounds horrid with TP's sounds like a 100y/o chain smoker screaming at the top of their lungs!!!! (might be a little overexagerated) Anywho I have the EVOII and I like it but might be switching up to something a little more noticeable. Here's a video of mine no X pipe or tp's/hsfc's. And as for the rattle put a couple spacers between the frams that's touching and you're good.

true and that is what i have heard. i do have test pipes already and i really dont plan on getting rid of them as they are one of the best mods for this car.
your car sounds really good. i am just wondering how one will sound with the x-pipe

That'd be interesting to hear. Subscribed**

PS: If I were int he same position i would go with the hks, With the price of an EVO2 and a different X pipe might just be worth it to go the hks route. But again that's just me. G/L

well the evo2 i am planning on getting if i decide to is used, so its not like paying the full price for it.
as far as the hks, the only down fall is the custom piping. i dont know loud its going to be and most importantly, what gains i will get...

Great thing about the Z forums.. Try it and if you don't like it swap to something else for little or no $$$$

go with the hks, i have the greddy evo2, sounds really quite. when i first got it, i kinda regreted it cus it was so quite, so i added test pipes. but got horrible rasp, but other then that, sounds really good from any gear going up to 3.5k-4k rpm, then the rasp comes in. i liked the way it sound but couldnt handle the rasp anymore plus my driver side test pipe started leaking. 2 days ago i switched back to the oem cat, and i have to say, it made a big difference. much more quiter cuz i got used to it with test pipes for 3 months, sounds like it could be more quite then stock(maybe its just me but it really does)
if i had the chance to trade it for the hks, ill do it in a heart beat, but for now my plans are to make a custom straight pipe, instead of a custom xpipe.
a straight pipe going from each cat to mid/mufflers. and maybe throw in a new set of test pipes.
