I am looking to get either test pipes or HFC's put in the car. Was curious to what your current setups are?

I read that with test pipes you get a little more hp as well as more rasp. With the HFC's you get a tad less hp and little to no rasp.

What brand test pipes and/or High flow cats do you recommend with the Tanabe Hyper Medallion setup?

I dont want to lose the sound of the exhaust, but I would like a little more hp. I see on youtube.com most people with Tanabe exhaust are running berk test pipes.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh by the way, does this void the extended warranty?

Did you get a noticeable gain in power (hp or tq) with just the test pipes? (Im not ready to do headers yet)

Anyone have a Tanabe Hyper Medallion with HFC'S?

I have the Tanabe Hyper Medallion with HFC'S but also have strup headers. When i added the headers it rasped bad even with stock cats on, then i got the tanabe y pipe and it was mostly better. Then got the crawford cats and it rasps again. not bad but annoying to me. with the hfcs the exhaust isn't that much louder at all but a little higher pitched. hfcs shouldn't void warranty but i bet if you have any sort of running, performance or engine problems you can count on nissan trying to blame it on intake, exhaust, and hfcs. it has happened to me. and it does say on the nismo pages that even there nismo headers and hfc void warranty's so ya.

S-Tune Nismo is kosher with warranty but R-Tune is not.

I had the test pipes on before the exhaust.

I currently have the Tanabe Hyper Medallion, Tanabe Y-Pipe, & Berk Test Pipes. IT'S LOUD!!! and I do have rasp from 3-4k. Anywhere before and after 3-4K sounds really good and still keeps the sound of the Hyper Medallion.
