Default just picked up my r-tune intake

yep, i just bought myself the nismo r-tune intake. i haven't opened the box yet (trying to hold myself back and get my priorities straight and do other things first). i'll post pictures later, and let you guys know what my initial impression will be. for those of you who have intakes, prior to installation, did you clean the inside of the intake pipes? i noticed that a substantial amount of dust collects inside there, and they aren't cleaned out before they're shipped (from my installation experience on my cai on my 280zx). let me know if any of you took this into consideration also when installing the cai.

I think common sense answers your question as good as any of us can.

Default my bad

the post didn't come out the way i wanted it to (i was doing something else at the same time, and didn't re-read the post). i was hoping that other people at least looked inside the intake pipe before installing it on their cars. because nowhere in any write-up did i see anything about cleaning the inside of their intake pipes. if one were to rub their finger along the inside of the pipe, aluminum shavings are prevalent. anyway, i just wanted to offer a warning to anyone who might have installed it already, and make them aware of the possibility of those metal shavings, since it doesn't mention cleaning it prior to installation.

Umnm, why didn't you just get an AEM CAI, same thing w/o the black pipe and NISMO sticker. Also cheaper.
