Default 2007 Stock vs. Nismo Intake+Exhaust comparison.

This title may be a bit misleading, however I have a stock 2007 Z and was looking to add the Nismo Dual Cold Air Intake ($700 parts/install) and the Nismo Exhaust ($1200 parts and install) and I was wondering if worth it. As well as performance difference if I add these parts. I plan on doing a dyno before and after, but I wanted to see some numbers before I purchase.

Thanks.

I have the Nismo exhaust installed on mine now. I love it! The sound is great. I dont notice a difference because I bought the car new with the exhaust installed.
I have read alot saying that people have lost HP and TQ when adding aftermarket intakes. So most buy them for the sound and looks.

Overpriced. I have the NISMO CAI, Headers, and Exhaust. I am greatly satisfied with it. But not the price you are paying. Ouch!

Been trying to look for info. haven't found much through the search. But from what you are saying, the Dual Intakes actually drop my HP and TQ. Is this correct?

What about the Exhaust? Does that increase/hinder performance? And is it unbearably loud?

Loads have been saying their gains from getting ANY kind of intake has been a very small amount. Most people put a k&n filter. As for exhaust, the nismo exhaust is imo for sound. For more performance I would go with a HKS tru dual or something in that nature.

On a more serious note:

NISMO makes quality products. Members who have NISMO mods are well satisfied. Other members have chosen alternatives. Lots of suitable choices out there.

Hey, I feel that you are experiencing some ghey buttsecks with those prices. Intake should be about $400 and exhaust would be about $950. Nismo intakes look great but I haven't gained anything with my except for a sweet sound. And the Nismo exhaust, you are paying for the name. It is basically a stock exhaust with bigger tips and a chrome canister. I have the HKS Hi Power True Dual Exhaust and I love it...accompanied with my Helix Test pipes, the sound is incredible and I got a 9 HP increase combined. Nismo exhaust should be about 2-3 hp increase, and with intakes you may be looking at a total of a 5-7 HP increase...for $1500, not worth it. Go with K&N 'drop-ins' and HKS Hi Power for probably a 10-12 HP gain.

+1 Typical 'Normal' stealership prices. Hit up www.mynismo.com or www.thenismoshop.com for better prices.
You shouldn't be paying more than $400 for Nismo intake and $900 for Nismo exhaust.
