Bassani Exhaust Installed...
Today I'm running on 1.5 hours of sleep after installing the Bassani Exhaust last night. (started late and I have to get up at 4am) I could have waited, maybe should have... but I didnt. It had to be put on...immediatly. Worth it? **** yea!
The install:
Well, the directions say 1-1.5 hours. I doubled that, but I think its partly because I did it with my car on jackstands vs. a lift. I probably jimmy'd under, and out from under my car 11,000 times. "wheres that wrench...over there ****!" The hardest part was getting the old muffler assembly out, and the new assembly in. The pipes didnt line up perfect until the two new mufflers were moved up into the opening under the car. They wont move up into the opening under the car until the pipes line up... I probably spent half my time getting that portion done. I stressed the plastic about a 1/4-1/2 inch in from bottom underside lip of the bumper, not noticable under there, but annoying anyway, it cracked the paint. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward. If you install this yourself, remember to put the midsections of exhaust in first, and rest them there before you put in the x pipe... Otherwise the midsections wont fit in. Overall fitment, I give it an 9 (for the stress crack, possibly could have been avoided). I also had to pound the last tip up in so it would hook on the hanger. Thats all the hard stuff I can think of besides the rubber hangers just being a ***** in general.
Results:
I dont have any pics or sound clips as of yet, maybe soon. I can feel a tq increase on the butt dyno, nothing insane, but its there. The sound is PERFECT. Not too loud, not too quiet, a perfect medium. Deeper, and more full than stock, when you smash the gas, it turns into a beast! Just what I was looking for. Inside the car, really not too loud at all, not even touching too loud. No rasp what so ever. When cruising, its as silent as stock. Z exhaust has bass now!!
overall, completely satisfied. (accept the crack)

Thanks guys! An FYI if you have not seen it in the other Bassani thread. I got this exhaust brand new for 900 from Blue Oval Performace. They have them on ebay for 950 or best offer. It was 959 shipped with my 900$ accepted offer. That was the best deal I could find.

Thought I would give an update after having it on my car for a bit.
The only negative thing so far is the mid-pipes rattle on the Jagged "V" looking deal under the car once its warm. I think I can adjust my pipes and get an angle that will fix that, otherwise I will have to figure out something to wedge between the mid-pipes and the "V". I havent attacked it yet, most likely tonight. Were talkin millimeters here (adjustment)...
One nice bonus, I get 3-4.5 more mpg , and thats city miles So I'm averaging 23.*-24.* now. Used to be 19.* to 20.*

Rattle fixed. All I had to do was loosen two bolts on the left midpipe and rotate it up. I moved the other one up just a hair too just in case. No more rattles. Once I got the car lifted, it took 5 min.

I am struggling to decide between your exhaust and a Nismo. What made you decide on the Bassani? Is it made as well as the Nismo? It is similar in price. Decisions, decisions!

Does theb utt dyno indicate the 27 extra torque as first stated haha I have heard nothing but good things about the sound....wish people actually had modded Z's up here in NH

Actually the butt dyno seems like I gained alot more than just 10whp. When I had:
Injen Exhaust
Helix TP
MD spacer
JWT Popcharger
it feels the same as now when I just have my bassani and everything else is stock.
