Default Review of skunk2 exhaust

SO finally i got my skunk2 TD exhaust for my Z after long wait. The exhaust looked great nice tips (though one of mine are slightly bent and im pissed ) but that was due to the boxs condition upon arrival maybey. I love the design because its TD straight through with amuse like canisters.

Upon starting it up one would notice that the VQ noise is gone. Like absent. Being TD you loose all VQ ness and now sound very domestic sounding kinda like a v6 camaro with a TD borla exhaust. I do have M HFCs so its loud when i get on it . But i have zero to no drone from this exhaust which is very nice considering its a TD. The exhaust some people dont understand because they never heard TD exhausts on a Z only single y pipe catbacks so its quiet a different sound. Its not high pitched at all more gargaly and very muscle sounding. From the rear you can hear the sputtering sound of the exhausts tips it overall sounds great just extremly different then most setups especially with my HFCs.

Power ....well its subjective i can tell you that my top end has def improved but i def feel like i lost some bottom end. Since i have a revup most of my power is made uptop anyways and from a highway run she does scream at highrpms with this exhaust. Maybey a X pipe will scavenge my tq down low ? not sure.

Overall

this is exhaust is a great buy, i personally love its design since its near identical to amuse and its from skunk2 which is awesome company but beware if you never heard a TD Z it may shock you the difference in sound.

I have heard borlas injens and stillens and this sounds like borla on crack...with my HFC very domestic sounding.

Im very pleased with it actually wanna dyno soon. And recommend this over alot of setups because of price name and quality.

+1 on getting up a vid haha. By the way, where did you end up ordering the exhaust from and how much did you get it for? I am in the market for an exhaust and I find the Skunk2 intriguing due to the price. Thanks.
