I recently heard taht test pipes on a 06 are a bad idea??? any truth behind this???

true, thats why i asked if there was something everyone knew that i didnt.

 

There is zero truth to it. 06 MAY be more prone to throwing a CEL but that's it.

 

nahhhhh i have an 06 and i have topspeed testpipe on my stock exhaust...it doesn't give any CEL ...cuz i put the nonfouler on it...its been more than 1,000 miles now..i havent had any probs with it..works great!

Bad. Very bad. It jams up the back pressure. That's what I heard.

 

When the RPM drops, there is a quick hissing noise (0:11).

i have the turboxs test pipes...and my car is a ticking time bomb....j/k...i actually love the test pipes and my hks exhaust combo. it sounds amazing

 

i have aps test pipes paired with the nismo exhaust...it sounds great!

 

i have helix testpipes and Injen ses titanium-tip exhaust...awesome

 

that's because of the stock ypipe. If replaced with an aftermarket y, the sound goes away.
