Default Question about new intake manifold, and spacer??

Ok so i just ordered the intake manifold from the 35th anvi. 350z for my 2004 touring, ordered to increase horsepower because this model's intake manifold was revised and they put vains in it to increase airflow, i was wondering if i install a plenum spacer onto it as well with it not direct airflow as much and decrease hp, or would they work together well?? does anyone know...????Help

He should be getting the RevUp manifold in the mail. You are going to gain high end HP and lose TQ with the change. Why do you think so many people switch their RevUp plenums for modified non-RevUp (MREV2).

Your best bet it so return it and purchase a spacer from Motordyne. Also, you can purchase the MREV2 but the gains are minimal on your car.

The only significant increase in power will be from forced induction, bottom line.

I am 100% positive. The 35th anniversary had a RevUp motor. And to quote Car and Driver (even though I don't have to): "One is the 300-hp engine found only in the anniversary and 2005 Track models. That's a healthy bump up from the base 350Z's 287 horsepower, even if it is accompanied by a reduction in peak torque—14 pound-feet—to 260. "

You gain high end HP but lose TQ. This is exactly why RevUp motors switch to the MREV2, we gain a huge amount of TQ back through the curve. You honestly would be better off returning it like I mentioned in the first post.

ok cool thank you, so should i get a 5/16 spacer with a mrev2, or just 5/16 spacer would be good with my original manifold, and also is it worth it to buy the 1/2 inch spacer and a new strut bar, or just a 5/16 and keep the stock strut? thank you
