Default Heavy smell of fuel and very sluggish acceleration after K&N filter install.

I put it in according to instructions now my car barely runs and it smells like fuel. I sprayed it down with the oil and all, but most of it just dripped off.

Help!

Did you let the oil dry

It takes a long time to dry.

Might need to clean your MAF sensor now that it's all gummed up with oil. Lol~

check engine light on? none?

disconnect your battery cables, reset your puter.
check if there is oil in the maf sensor.
replace filter with old one.

connect cables. fire-it-up.
see if you get same symptoms.

If you didn't let the oil dry then it's probably your MAF sensor as gothchick pointed out.

You're supposed to clean it and let it dry, then reoil it and let it dry IIRC.

The thing I don't get is how the oil is supposed to soak through the plastic wrapper the filter is in?

OK, what you need to do is go get the turbonator and install that that should help make the filter dry faster and provide you with 150whp. DO WORK son.
