Just got done installing Injen CAI... 2 hours with bumper on. No problems..

But, noticed that engine now idles way down and skips a bit.. Did anyone else experience this same problem? Is there a way to turn up idle a bit?

Mine did for the first day but then it smoothed back out.

 

Hey thanks for the response... The SES Injen exhaust is next...did it make more of a difference in performance on your Z ?

 

Yeah, I'd do it again. I notice a small improvement, but after a while it's hard to tell what improved what. I wanna go to a dealer and drive a stock car again so I can compare what I drive now to what it used to be.

Oh, and it sounds AWESOME!

 

How does the intake-only sound?? Did it improve throttle response or is it only at high RPMs??Do u recomend it??

I feel an improved throttle response, and maybe a little more pull. I was expecting it to be louder than it is though. I had an Injen CAI on my 02 Maxima and it sounded MEAN above 3500rpm, not so much on the Z though. I think it has to do with all the poly-piping deadening the sound. I sometimes think I should have gotten the AEM intake, because of their filter placement
