Yes I was thinking of getting a Resonated H pipe since I am running Stillen True Dual, would the X pipe take away the True Dual of the exhaust or is X piping the same as H?

rgeist554, I have the same problem you had before, I HATE the RASP its embarrassing, sounds like a cheap 95 honda civic IMO. Resonated X or H pipe seems like the way to go. I would hate to put my stock cats back on.

I do notice the low end torque decrease as I can't chip second and 3rd and easy as just switching the gear WOT. Who knows, stock cats are calling me lol.

Trust me... in the car and out of the car sounds different. I think being in the cabin, rasp is significantly louder because it definitely sounds raspy to me inside of the car but listening to videos there is no rasp.

i think i have the drone that you all talk about (if i get it right) but i don`t know about rasp
and is there a chance that an exhaust have a noticable tone with no drone inside the car ??

The H pipe joins both sides of the exhaust together just like an X, so I don't really think you lose the "true dual" effect.

Rasp sounds like a bad exhaust leak on: a) the down-rev after a high rev of the engine or b) briefly occurs at a set RPM / gear. It sounds kinda like a really bad tin can rattling around.

Drone is when the exhaust is extremely loud and "drones" in the cabin of the car. It makes it really hard to listen to music or carry on a conversation if the drone is too loud.

Luckily I don't have bad drone, it actually sounds good, but the RASP is still there in the cabin. Even when I let my friend drive it, and he got on it, I hear it at high RPM through the gears from 2nd to 3rd to 4th. This sucks! If I put my stock cats on and it still RASPS I am going to be PISSED!

To my understanding, RASP comes from having to much air flow with not enough back pressure. So I am assuming if I went Twin Turbo or something to that effect than the pressure of the air would be much greater therefore stopping the RASP. If the force of the air going out the exhaust does not have enough pressure it does not shoot straight out but basically bounces around. If the force is greater and the air is pushed out more straight then it will not bounce and therefore prevent RASP. Is this theory sound?

It sounds like you may have a tiny bit of rasp... but it's really hard to hear from videos.

Check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NGagAvqHk8

This is a case of REALLY bad rasp.

If I put my stock cats back on, do you think I will loose power? And will it definatly eliminate the RASP?
