Your video's seem to sound really loud?? Is it that loud in person? Because i dont want it sounding that loud!!

I think I'll stick with my 06 airbox and Amsoil drop in until I can afford a Gruppe-M.... I also heat shielded the entire length of my factory intake to help minimize heatsoak issues. Not as sexy as the Mishi, but effective.
I do like the look of the Mishimoto CF though!! If they could make something comparable to the Gruppe-M ($1000) at half the price, I'd be all over it.

the metal on the front of the filter is pointed and acts similar to what a velocity stack would. (helps channel in the air)

I say that if there is a 5hp gain I´m not able to notice it. And if there is a 5hp loss I say the same.
My *** is very insensitive to note 5hp more o 5hp less.
Anyway, I think the car is now faster at high revs and I little bit slower in the low end.
This intake it´s really loud at wot. In person sounds louder. But, in a daily use it´s not uncomfortable.
Sorry again for my english.

No need to apologise as English was not your first language.
I'm definately interested in this intake and should be making my purchase soon.
thanks for your help.

I decided that the Pop was better value even though the Mishi looks fantastic. It would definitely be my second choice. The Pop is also a tried and tested product and clear favourite on the forums. I like the bigger filter on the Pop too.
I used the difference in the price to pay for a 5/16 MD Spacer! Much better way to use the cash
As I have read too that once you start moving engine bay temps drop considerably and very quickly. If the Pop does suffer from heat soak it will only be while driving in stop/start traffic. If what I read was correct as soon as you are on the go the heat soak is not that much of an issue at all and on the move is when the power counts anyway right?
Please correct me if I am wrong...

FYI, it has nothing to do with the intake at all.
my problem with the charger I had was the cars power felt good for about 10 min, but after that it felt like it dropped off. So a couple days later I put the stock box on with a drop in filter and instantly felt my cars old power, then I checked out the mishi and the specs on it,bought it,and enjoyed it ever since.
unllike he the pop the cars power does not fall off and the cf sheilding helps big time. Its pretty obvious that you gained power but its going to be up for sale since I got my s/c

^nice... and lol!
Anyway, this is a very nice setup for $188! Looks like heat soak/intake would be kept to a minimum. It reminds me (a little) of my old homegrown setup from a few years back, LOL.

Since then, I moved on to FUJITA. I wanted a little bling, but mainly wanted to smooth out the intake tract. And yes, even with the FUJITA, I had to build a custom heat shroud for the air filter... by choice of course.

People are funny they see a 500 price somewhere and think that the price you get for,if you look in the vendors you can have this intake for a tad more then charger

A) It's not shielded properly and heat soak WILL happen especially with our Australian summers.
B) You are defectable and its not worth the hassle getting a pink slip.
C) Heatsoak will bog you down and definately affect your acceleration off the line. (If you've owned any CAI or SRI before you will know what i mean)

If i were you i would have gone further and used it as a mould and get it wrapped in CArbon fibre!
