I installed my Injen Intake as a short ram set up. My question is about the piece of the intake that is after the MAS air sensor that the vacuum hose and air filter attache too. Because of the hose attachment being on this piece I cannot push the air filter far enough back to keep it from hitting against the front of the engine bay? What am I doing wrong? On all of the pictures I have seen of peoples Z’s with the Injen Intake, even when the CAI tube is attached, it is pushed back all the way. I don't get it...?

In the picture below the polished piece that the air filter is attached to is what I am referring to. Mine has an additional piece coming out of the side of it for the vacuum hose to attach to and because of it my air filter will not fit all the way back unless I cut out a small half circle of the rubber on the filter.

My question is why are the parts different on my set up then on other peoples? Anyway, It’s all good now I love the sound. And the Injen exhaust, WOW, It has this DEEP growl like nothing I have ever heard before. I would recommend it to anyone!! Personally I love the angled tips also.

Here is some one else with the short ram setup.

Here is mine and the prob I am talking about...

Even the pictures on Injens web site with CAI hose attached the part I am talking about is somehow different?
