Default Skunk2 spacer

hi guys....i am just wondering do any of you using the skunk2 spacer...and does it really work??
also do u have anything that need to take it out after installed it /???

what do you mean anything that need to take it out? Also the skunk 2 your talking about would be the 1/2inch? if so you would have to replace the stock strut bar with one that goes in front more then likely.
Ive heard of good gains with that and the motordyne as well. good luck.

yea..i meant that the strut bra and what about the engine cover??? but i heartd that it gains around 10 whp...so i donno ...but do i have to take out my stock strut bar and engine cover/????

+1 for powerlab and they send you new bolts/washer so you can keep your factory bar, gain are all the same

I just put on my Motordyne 5/16" spacer and it went very smooth. It also comes with a very complete kit (all new bolts, spacers for the stock strut, etc.) When it comes to price I think the Powerlab spacer is lowest so its all up to what you think would be best. I went with the MD spacer because of the 15% military discount straight from the motordyne website.

Gof or PowerLab 3/8" or Motordyne 5/16" if you want to keep your engine cover and strut bar. IMO, stay away from the Skunk spacer.

go to www.motordyne.com and you will see what the different thicknesses will do for our motor. Generally, the thicker the spacers have better high RPM gains while the thinners have better mid-range gain.

BTW, I have the PowerLab 3/8" and I'm happy with it. I also have the Motordyne MREV and very very soon I will have the new Motordyne XYZ pipe and TDX exhaust

w/e you do, do not buy skunk2
buy powerlabs 3/8 in spacer or Motordynes 5/16 in
they will both yield about the same gains but the powerlabs is less expensive

The Skunk2 Plenum Spacer is made of a Composite material that is less conductive then these other aluminum spacers.

The thermal conductivity of:

Aluminum = 144 btu/ft-hr-deg F
Composite=.144 btu/ft-hr-degF

Aluminum is 1000 times more conductive of heat than the composite material S2 uses

The Skunk2 Spacer also comes with an intergrated injected seal / gasket that does not require a new gasket or the reuse of the factory intake gasket.




If you guys are worried about the stock strut bar not fitting you can get the same washers MD uses in there kits from Homedepot to raise the stock strut bar for less then a dollar.

why don't you guys like Skunk2 Plenum?
and what if you don't mind not having your engine cover,
is there a difference then?

i ask this because the Skunk2 Plenum 5/8 was suggested to me from a Import shop(cant remember the name) instead of Motordynes 5/16.

I don't know whats wrong with them. If copied and pasted into the browser they work.

You cant compare our spacer to a blox... Looks the same but its not...
