Default What combination attributes to rasp?? (Fuji exhaust and Ypipe and Mines test pipe)

Hey peoples!

Looking for your expertise and advice!

I currently have the fujitsubo Y back exhaust and i'm going to be purchasing the Fujitsubo Y-pipe and Mines test pipes.

Will this combination rasp? How can i tell if it will or not?

I don't believe it's all trial and error! Someone must know??

Please help me out here guys! Very appreciated!

Ian.

Rasp happens when the exhaust-pulse-waves get out of synch between Bank 1 and Bank 2. It can happen with any exhaust. A good way to minimize it is with an x-pipe and resonators.

Someone would have to have the exact same setup you're asking about to know how much rasp it is predisposed to.

Thanks for that Gotchick!

Would you say i would be safer if i stayed away from the test pipes and just stuck to the ypipe?

If ya get test pipes, the resonated ones are better but more expensive... I've had Kinetix resonated testpipes for over a year with my dc sport headers and hks td exhaust with x-pipe. Sounds pretty sweet imo and is about as free-flowing as it gets...

Had the Fuji exhaust/JIC Y-Pipe combined with very free flowing RT sport cats. Rasp was unbearable at redline. Switched to Crawford cats - rasp was gone with no apparent performance loss. Rasp with test pipes will be worse than RT cats.

Just being practical.

Members have spent a fortune switching exhaust components searching for some elusive sound. And they never quite get there.
