Default Nismo Edition Z Exhaust... is HKS!?

So apparently HKS makes the Nismo edition Z exhaust...

This was shipped directly from Nissan like this. Has a Nissan part number but its an HKS box.

I kid, That's kinda cool. I haven't listened to a Nismo Z. Didn't realize they worn different exhaust.

Yeah its not a cheap piece by any means. Just the muffler alone costs just as much as the Nismo S-Tune catback.

Weird..

It probably sounds the same as a stock Nissan muffler, except maybe marginally louder due to the larger tips and possibly a revised more free flow muffler.

Nothing special.

The Nismo Z exhaust is a good deal louder and deeper than stock.

This is interesting, but I'm thinking that they had an HKS box lying around for some reason.

Possibly a little investigation of aftermarket tech?

They wouldnt package it like that. Not from a Nissan warehouse. If it came from a dealer like this, perhaps.

I believe it. Just found out Mugen makes the S2000's stock exhaust. Don't know if that was common knowledge or not, but its news to me. Manufacturers are outsourcing like crazy lately.
