I went to my local Nissan dealership (which I work for the same company but another brand) and asked them about putting on my Plenum Spacer and my Pop charger when I put on my exhaust next week. I asked to speak to their best Nissan mechanic and asked him if he could do the job. He said it would take him at least 3 hours to do (which should have been my first warning sign) but I had to ask the workshop controller/foreman if he could do it. That guy asked e what I had and when I said a 350z he rolled his eyes (which pissed me off) then asked what I wanted to do to it. I told him and he just started laughing (in front of other people too) and said why on earth did I want to do that stuff? I said it improves the power and the sound. He then said I have just wasted my money and that the spacer is useless. He said since the throttle body is the same size regardless of my "spacer" it wouldn't increase power at all. I said I have done my research and it is proven stuff and I wasn't really asking for his opinion anyway. He said he will do it and I said don't bother and will get it done at a performance shop locally which quoted me 1 hrs labour anyway.
Great PR from Nissan hey?

Sounds like they think you are getting a throttle body spacer, not a plenum spacer. They would have just about every right to laugh if it was a TB spacer. Just do the job yourself. All you need is a 10mm socket, a 4 mm socket, and an torque wrench (could use a screwdriver socket instead). It's a very easy job to do.

Yeah I wouldn't blame Nissan but the loser employees. I would do it your self or have a friend help you, that knows a thing or two. Really its not hard at all. You just take your time and follow the instructions.
I think it's worth posting what dealership it is, and letting Nissan know how you were treated at the dealership. If Nissan never finds out nothing will change, if consumers continue to spend money at that dealership nothing will change.
It's one thing to ***** about service, it's another to do something about it.
