Default Are these brands good!

Im looking at buying an Injen true dual 4" SS exhaust system and a Fujita short ram intake. Does anyone know anything about these particular mods. And if u actually have one of these mods, please let me know how it performs! Thanks

+1 on search. Check out the top 100 questions thread and go from there.

There isn't an Injen 4" exhaust just to give you an idea.

lol there's no such thing as a 4" true dual. that was funny though.

As opposed to taking blind stabbing questions in the dark, why don't you use the internet and search for your answers?

Do you really think that you're the first person to ask this kind of quesiton on this site??

the exhaust is good, skip the intakes and just fit some drop in K&N filters, you'll be better off

granted people should do their own research, it's kind of a big purchase. you wouldn't want to consult other 350Z owners to hear some real world expierience with said products?

give him a break.

Default Filter

Avoid using the oiled cotton gauze filter on your Nissan/Infiniti products.

The restriction levels become quite high when loading occurs and the engine protection level is poor. Plus, you are forced to oil and clean these filters regularly, which adds additional expense and maintenance time. Add the fact that oiling has an impact on engine control systems, especially if the precise amount isn't applied. This is not a step in a positive direction. A better option is available.

yawn - 3 posts in a week all essentially cutting/pasting the same info?

a "precise" amount of oil is not needed - my 12 year old has reoiled the filter in my Z simply by following the directions on the side of the box, which are quite self explanatory

i can agree the filter can be oversaturated with the oil and have seen it
done-saw a guy use 1/2 the can on 1 filter-had it sitting on top of a
concrete partition in my shop and started spraying it down-the oil then
ran out the bottom and made a trail about 2-3 feet away because the
floor was slanted toward a drain-as i walked by i asked him "what the
heck are you doing?" and he said he was tired of how the filter turned
grey so quick so he figured he would really soak it down.

i also had my son do my filter once-he was 14 then-basically have always
gave the filter a light consistent spray accross its entire surface area and
a dab on the rubber part and rubbed it in to keep it from drying out-have
seen some of my customers with older k+n's that did not and the filter
was fine but the rubber surrounding it fell apart from dry rot after about
5yrs-my truck filter is now 6 1/2 yrs old and the one in my z is 2 1/2
both look like new still

that's why I quoted someone else's post...not any of yours. Nor did my post pertain to anything you asked about

With all due respect - if you're going to post a question, at least take the time to read the answers from those trying to assist you - you can simply skip over the answers you don't like or that mock you. Otherwise, why should anyone bother trying to help you the next time you ask something?
