Default Custom Exhaust Guys Chime in

Thought maybe I would put a thread together about guys or girls who run a custom exhaust set up. If it FAILS i will just delete it lol.

So maybe like post what size piping, picture and if possible a Vid. And then share your experiences. Like give advice. Reason Im making this thread is i wanna go with a custom single well if i can sell my HKS. So let the post begin

I have a custom HKS Hi-Power single (stainless).
Piping is custom, 2.5" at the Y-pipe, and then it converts to 3" all the way back.
Also have Mine's test pipes.

Due to the test pipes, there is a little rasp, and it is LOUD.
Like, it-will-make-your-ears-bleed loud, if you are driving next to me and i have it WOT.
But I added the silencer now and it is bearable

Here are some vids when i took it to the track for sound:

How many threads wil you open about custome exhaust? You should be an expert.

Well IMO N/A 2.5 single with TP and also a resonator from magnaflow or any other competitive companys. Just watch out for kinks in the bends because those will disrupt max flow.

Do you know if you can get a manderal(spelling??) bent piping?? Other than that there will be small kinks in the bends probably downsizing the bend to a 2.25 or maybe less???

Then do it! I wouldn't do the 4" like you wanted before but a 2.5 sounds right.. Good luck man.

P.S. If your going custom go for something no one has

there's a video of my customized cxlighting exhaust on the ebay thread.

sounds much better than the cxlighting by itself.

will have to get more vids to give idea of the sound.

i am really interested in this. i like the single exhaust look but dont really see the point in paying a rediculous amount for a cat back when custom piping and a muffler will suffice just fine.

what do you have done to your Z that made you run 3in all the way back? i was always under the impression that 3 and up is for turbo applications. Not that you couldnt run 3, but you would be losing backpressure by going so big.
