Default Help. Tips on removing factory exhaust?

Removing the factory exhaust seems pretty straight forward except for the hangers that hold the end of the exhaust up. They sit up behind the bumper and seem nearly impossible to get to. Anyone have any ideas that worked for them? I tried searching the DIY threads but couldn't find any full detailed exhaust replacement threads.

If the Z is the same as a G then you can always remove the three 12mm bolts that attach the hanger bracket to the car. Also, apply plenty of silicone lubricant to the hangers and the exhaust posts so they will slide out easier. You may have to move the muffler section forward and back to really get the lubricant in the hanger. Dirty minds chime in now!

I just took the hanger bracket off of the car then worked on getting the rubber piece of the the hanger out from under the car. Very easy this way IMO

Get a can of WD-40, with the little red spray tube. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry into the rubber hanger. Spray lots of WD-40 in there. It'll make removing them a piece of cake...

Exactly what I did...

I also took off the driver side hanger bracket. It looks like more work but trust me, you'll have more leverage and angle on the passenger side (blocked by Evap can.) especially if you have little space to work with.

Unless you want a shoulder workout you can spray and pull all day.

Glad it worked out well.
