Default Catalytic Converter Bolts

I crawled up underneath my car to remove the cats and I noticed that the 3 bolts on each cat connecting to the headers were very rusted.

If those bolts snap then i'll be in the deep caca so I sprayed WD-40 and let it sit overnight.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to properly remove the bolts (Like.. without snapping them and making me curse very loudly)? What tools, angles etc I can use ?

WD40 is a great lubricant, but a mediocre anti-corrosive. Use something like Liquid Wrench.

Thanks, I went out and bought some PB Blaster and I sprayed it yesterday. I think it's been sitting long enough so I will try to get those bolts off.
I do believe that an impact wrench would be best to use if I could since with a breaker bar I'd be pulling down and could risk breaking the head off..... but there's not much space at all.

Free space for a impact wrench is tight. Good luck.

took me 5 hours to take em off and I nearly bawled. had to lube it 5 different times to have it finally budge. after that, it's cake. your sproket will break before the nut.

make sure you apply anti-sieze to the new bolts, this way it's easier to take them off next time.
