What sound are you looking for?

I have a theory of what will sound killer, deep...and it says magnaflow all over it.

Start off from the cats w/ PN 14386 or equivalent which is a resonated x pipe.

then go back to 2 straight through 14246 mufflers...something like that at least...longer the rear ones quieter the exhaust....

in my head it sounds great, but you never know.

you can keep your test pipes, as far as exhaust fitment goes they have little to do with it.

magnaflow is a solid company to stick with for custom exhaust parts, they have good qaulity at really affordable prices. the above suggestion was good, here are links to summit so you can have a better idea:

at least 2 of these for the rear muffler canister:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...part=mpe-14246

one of these for after your test pipes:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...part=mpe-14386

the only details i'll add to that are, source mandrel bent tubing if you want to do it right. also you'll need to pick out tips and such to finish it off. I would also leave room inbetween the x-flow muffler and the rear sections to add smaller resonators if you think its too loud or raspy after install.

for easy rear muffler selection you can also go with one of these, round canisters with tips:

which resonated x pipe would you recommend that would go with the 2 14246 mufflers and also what tips would look good (i would prefer the tips to be stainless steel and welded on), thanks for all the help...im new to the whole idea of custom exhausts, i usually just buy a system but want to try custom at this local shop that a lot of my friends get their work done at

I have a custom dual 2.5" HKS carbon ti exhaust. It is un-resonated so it sounds like a$$ at low rpm. I need to do something about it.

i want a mixture of loud and deep...if that makes since, i decided not to get the xpipe seeing as how i already have test pipes so its already going to be loud, i just need suggestions for the tip
I have decided on
2 MagnaFlow 14246 Muffler Canisters (2.5
1 MagnaFlow 14386 Muffler (2.5
Mandrel bent piping and this is where im stuck...so which tips do yall think i should get, i was thinking either
MagnaFlow 35136 Tips
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
or
Borla 20155 Tips
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
but i am open for suggestions to which would finish it all off nicely

heres a awesome idea i had i wanted to do but went a diff route.

Have u ever heard the pro-1? My most fav exhaust i have had(going on 10 now) but the look is so honda and ugly. So here ya go

a 3" Y-pipe 2 a 3" Mid pipe that gets run out to 3" dual with Vibrant Mufflers

Gonna sound SICK

Pretty much like pro-1 had sex with AAM and they were related and this was the offspring

LOL 2.5 will in deed be deep enough. And I have no knowledge?? I have some and isnt that why we are on here for? To learn? Also my GSX will blow away for little Z with ease. YUP want to hear it? Sounds soo sexy with a full 3" stainless steel exhaust.
