Dyno results (intake/exhaust mods)
First off I would like to say that the following dyno is for two different G35's....one stock, one modified. I know there is room for error between with the two cars but it is what it is. Same dyno, same day, not 10 minutes between the two runs.
Stock G35: 05 Sedan, 6MT Revup, BONE STOCK!
Modded G35: 06 Coupe, 6MT Revup, mods below:
K&N drop in w/ z tube
PowerLab 3/8" spacer
Motordyne MREV+
Motordyne XYZ pipe w/ resonated section
Nismo y-back exhaust
Osiris (not tuned yet, this was the initial dyno)
it's a bad pic, sorry, I'm still trying to figure out how to put TQ and HP on a single graph. When I get home I'll post the raw data files, max TQ increase is close to 40ft-lbs, max HP increase is a little over 20. I love the new midrange power. Hopefully the Osiris retune will get me a little more topend power too. This graph is consistent with Tony @ Motordynes graphs regarding the MREV, it shifts the power curve to the left to give you more "usable" power. I'm very pleased with the mods thus far.
Edit: Updated graph w/ hp & tq on same chart

Did you not read my first paragraph? I said, "it is what it is" and that there is room for error because it's two different cars. Your year comment is a joke, both cars have the new V2 engine due to oil consumption issues and have very similar mileage. Feel free to keep your comments to yourself.
Look, all I was doing is comparing what a bone stock G did against a G with my mods, that's it. I NEVER said that the mods I have WILL give you xxx amount of torque/hp over a stock VQ. I know it's not an accurate comparison, nor am I making it out to be one. I was not going to put the car back to stock and then put everything back on just to show gains.

I agree the two VQ35's are different engines, but it's NOTHING like comparing a 96 Civic with a G. You couldn't be more different....we'll I guess you could compare a Rolls Royce Trent 800 to a VQ.
I highly doubt there is that much difference (the difference in graphs above) between two stock G engines, hell, I'm willing to bet my house on that one.

The reason for me showing the "comparison" graph was to depict what a stock VQ35 would do on THIS dyno. Each dyno is different and will show different numbers.
Here's my individual dyno BTW.

as long as the engines are the same and rated the same hp/tq, I don't think it's that bad of a comparison at all..I mean yea sure there is margin or error for a few horses but it gives you an idea of how much hp/tq you can expect from the mods... I agree with dude above, some people are pretty harsh..lol.. but to each their own.. one must be able to take both positive and negative feedback
^^^ I agree with your post...except that it wasn't really "feedback", more like "you fail you loser". That's something I've noticed from my350z, once a longtime member starts hating on a thread everyone jumps in. Fortunately

you can dyno 2 bone stock Gs or Zs same year, make everything on the same machine within minutes apart and still get entirely different numbers... it has happened.
Dynoing a stock G or Z then dynoing a different one same year with mods does not tell you how much the mods gained.
The only way it is a viable comparison is on the same car.
OP, don’t get angry over it. It's just a fact.
