I was thinking about buying megan racing headers along with High FLow Cats but I already have an Invidia Pro N1 Exhaust. Do i even need to purchase a High FLow Cat?

the cats are the biggest known choke point in the cars exhaust so if you are looking to get better flow out of the exhaust then yes I would say go for it, those are the next mod coming for my car

I agree with Z1. Thats what i've done. You will notice the cats, but in the end, simple bolt-ons arent worth the money if you're only looking for a highway car.

No HFC are NOT included in a cat-back exhaust system. (that's why
cat-back) Don't sell your OEM cats you may need them to pass smog. Do
they have smog in the north east.... Magnaflow has HFC that are
legal to replace ORB II cats, they just became available. Us members in
CA. have to be concerned about such things....smog police....air quality....fines in excess of $1K....plus possible impound....Ouch!

New York dsn't have smog. So don't worry bout that. Y-pipe. U gotta make sure the exhaust your ordering comes with a y-pipe or x-pipe. I just ordered an exhaust and it dsn't come with a y-pipe. I thought it did. I'm lucky I already have a stillen y-pipe tho. And it is big enough for my exhaust flow needs according to the person that sold me it. A trudual exhaust. There is no need for those are always a full cat-bck exhaust.

OP,

the exhaust, as you stated are cat-back. In short, yeah. It would make a difference. If you really want to feel a difference, I'd suggest test pipes but they can be a pain if you want to keep your car smog compliant.

Does anyone have a recommendation for High Flow Cats that don't have a crappy raspy sound to them? Also, are there any that sound good and are legal?
