Got a problem with my new air filter
Ok guys so i got a 05 350z and ive had intake exhuast and test pipes on it for awhile now the intake is a short ram injen intake n it hasnt givin me any problems so today i decided to change out my air filter on the intake casue the one i currtenly have was so beat up dented and dirty it looked horrible so i went out and bought a brand new $50 KnN air filter same size same and everything and it looked alot better. I took the car for a test drive and the car keeps givin out on me around 4k rpm but then goes back to normal after that it like bogs on me everytime i get around that rpm so of my friends said at least put 50 miles on it before it breaks in and some said the car isnt use to having that good airflow then before so is there really a break in point for filters or should i return it???

^most likely because you mentioned that you had changed out your air filter.. which means you probably made contact with the MAF sensor.
Go to your local electronics shop and pick up a spray can of "non-corrosive" electronics cleaner.. spray down your maf, let it dry..
If you cannot find a bottle of maf or electronics cleaner you could also try 90 proof alcohol.. just make sure its had a chance to toally evaporate before plugging it back in.
I would also use the pedal method to reset your ECU
*^If you are asking how to do this, you really need to start using the search function..*
