Default ? about HFCs and heat

Guys, i just installed some Berk HFCs on my 05 and another person in the garage mentioned that they thought the floorboards in the car would get really hot because of the design (lack of heatshield like all other aftermarket HFCs). Any truth to this from your experiences? Thanks.

No heat issues here. Even after a 360 mile drive at 76 MPH.

I also took off the heat shields attached to the floor board above the cats, and have not noticed any heat from the Berks, though there has got to be some. I've had them on since Aug, so they went through the hottest part of the year here.

Thanks guys, i'll keep an eye on it. That guy in the garage got me thinking, prior to his comment it hadn't even phased me.
