I didnt do this to improve my speed today, rather prep for tomorrow. These exhausts are perfect for Turbo, since i have a combined 5" for the turbo to breathe. It very well can be slowing me down on dyno. But my racing days are over, until i can get turbo because my car will be gone for 2 months getting 250lbs fatter with Audio hardware and Dynamat.

I do know my mid range and top end has improved. Redline comes much faster. Crusing at 120 is effortless now. My spark plugs are probably too cold, thus I lose low end. The car is at Acosta now and I will retrofit 2 resonators and switch to NGK plugs that are 2 heat ranges colder than stock. I have 4-5 ranges colder than stock now. way too much.

I dont have audio clip because I am still in shock with how loud it was. I needed to fix that first. Cops are already giving me dirty looks.

Sounds and looks like you wanted it to be like the injen exhaust, except you wanted bigger diameters for the turbo, right?? The injen is 2.25", and yours is 2.5" from what you said.

Matt, just so you know the size of the tip 5" has nothing to do with turbo Ready or not. You can have 1.5" piping with a 5" cannonball muffler and it still won't be good for turbo. 2.5" is not the ideal size for turbo. I was running 3" piping on my TURBO civic SI and did before and after dyno with 2.5" piping and 3" and boy what a difference. Now your talking a 1.6L Honda. If you notice exhaust companies that do cat-back exhaust system for turbo vehicles are all 3" piping like (Supra, RX7, Subaru, etc..) I am also going to get turbo by the end of this year and getting ready just like you. I upgraded to a custom HKS Carbon Fiber Titanium 3" TRUE Mandrel bent exhaust with a total weight of 18lbs compared to stock 50-55lbs. and we dyno the car with an amazing 9whp gain!! On 3"!! Espelir was amazed with the results and wanted to use that same desing on their cat-back. They are doing a true dual system also. They did sound checks on my car but they didn't like how loud it was 93db at idle and 110DB at 5800 RPM. That's of course without the silencer. Once you put the silencer in its SO QUITE!! ALmost stock. You might want to toy around with different diameter, but keep in mind that 3" will be better for turbo.

Here is pics of my setup..

We are also thinking of doing a DUAL setup and toy around with it, but here is a photochop of what it would look like with DUAL canisters instead of just the left.

Those are the first true 3" exhausts I have seen, and in Ti too. I would have to have the dual exhausts just to fill in the hole. What did you do with your cats??? I have been wondering how they would fit a 3" exhaust, and if some of the high flow cats would fit the 3" exhausts.

Man, those are huge.
