Default Magna Flow 350Z Exhaust

Has anyone tried the Magna Flow exhaust system for the 350Z?

Hopupracing.com has it listed for $579. Magna Flow's website claims 6.9hp and 7.3lb gains. I like the look of the 4" tips.

Does anyone have experience with Magna Flow products? Quality? Sound?

Completely off topic, but if you work for RacerX, you're company totally tried to scam me. And if you're not, and you're just sporting their name, just so you know, they had a huge stupid scam out saying they sponsor people for $79 "Sponsor Activation Fee"... and their prices were horrible.

I built a custom built a full dual exhaust system using a Magnaflow X Pipe Muffler. The system uses 2.25" pipe, an H Pipe and 2 Blue Streak Glasspacks. Runs stronger and sounds Great. I used the stock tips, and sprayed the muffler black with high temperature paint.

I have a Magnaflow with new y-pipe and straight pipe with small magnaflow pre-silencer. I like the sound. Originally I just had the y-pipe, straight pipe, and muffler. It was too loud to drive everyday and the sound had a rasp at full acceleration...sort of like the blat from a bad trombone player.

Tried to dyno the car before and after, but the hp gains weren't really reproducible. We assumed that the computer was reprogramming itself and produced unreliable hp readings.
Still working on this before changing to mandrell bent stainless tubing.

I am not associated with RacerX Motorsports. Are they located in California?

I got the name from the Speed Racer cartoon. RacerX is Speed's brother, if you didn't know.... I'm sorry if my username reminds you of the scam but I am not supporting them in any way. I did see your earlier post and was afraid someone would think I was associated with them. I didn't think they were in California so I thought most people would figure this out.

Do you have the Magnaflow exhaust system for the 350Z or are you using the universal mufflers?

Did you start your project with just the muffler or did you do the y-pipe and straight pipes at the same time? I am curious if the exhaust note is noticeably deeper than stock.
