Default Test pipes or HFC's?

I can't decide on which i want to do. money really isnt an issue, but saving a couple hundred would be nice. What do people think.

Should i get test pipes or high flow cats. I'm thinking of leaning towards test pipes because i can always put the stock cats back in when i go to get the car inspected. Manufacturers advised would be great to know also. I'm pretty new at modifications for this car.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Keith

I'm leaning towards HFCs myself because there should be less rasp.

Test pipes will increase power, increase the risk of getting a check engine light, will make your exhaust stink (when sitting at a light, you may smell it), and are very likely to create rasp.

HFCs will create almost as much power with a little less noise, alot less stink, much less rasp (possibly none, depending on brand), a much greater chance of not triggering a check engine light, and will likely pass emissions.

Berk seems to be a popular choice for the cats.

in that case, it doesn;t matter what you use. though if you are going to go through the work to replace them each time why not just get the HFC and call it a day?

plus test pipes you run the risk of it sounding like crap and throwing a CEL but it sounds like you had your mind made up even before makig this thread.

Definitely go with HFC, I put tp on my HKS hi power and it sounded pretty raspy. I now run berk's hfc and it is pure sex.
