Default help with this nismo cai hardware piece

soo i recently cleaned my nismo cai filter..

pretty dirty from being down there.. anywaise~~~

was looking around the forums and seems like i am missing a piece of hardware??

the long black piece.

look at pic below. can anyone tell me what this is for?

its a mounting point. I think it mounts the bottom half to the cars chasis.

IF you are missing that, just go to homedepot and buy a metal joint, drill, fabricate, bend, etc.. to fit.

I cant remember exactly but I think it goes on the upper half of the intake to kinda re-route a wire harness that is in the way and it bolts onto one side and the wire loom clips into the other hole. I cant really remember for sure, so someone correct me if im wrong!!!

so this piece dosnt accually connect to the pipe?

cause i dont see anyplace ont he pipe that it would connect to?
