Watching videos really doesn't show which exhaust is the loudest. I'd like to know of these 3 which one would you consider the loudest, I'd like to know from thise who've actually heard these in person.

 

heard HKS, thats about it, imo it was pretty loud and for the price.. just not worth it.

Im really leaning towards turbo xs <3

 

Been awhile since ive heard the HKS and Borla in person but I would say In order from quietest to loudest - Borla, HKS, Turbo XS. Turbo XS and HKS have about the same loudness just a very different tone...

 

After watching videos the sound of Turbo XS reminds me of the G37. Is that how it sounds in person?

 

Heres HKS with FI test pipes. I think I hit 115dB that day.

there is only one way to do this; go listen to these exhausts yourself and make your own decision on which is the loudest

Thats what I'd love to do but I don't know people that have them all. I've only heard the HKS and I don't know anyone with the other two. Zs are rare to see around here. I know I asked a noobish question but I don't have much to go by when it comes to hearing "in person".

 

The Borla on its own is not that loud. Add HFCs and it gets louder up top. Or add test pipes and it gets louder than HFCs -- again, mostly up top. Look at my sig for my list of mods. My Borla is perfectly fine for daily driving, having a passenger in the car, and having a decent conversation - it doesn't get in the way. But once you start entering the 3500RPM area, it comes alive thanks to the new X-pipe. I may record some video clips tomorrow I'll let you know.

i had both the hks and turboxs and both were with test pipes....turboxs was slightly louder but with a higher pitch...the hks is loud but the pitch is much lower

 

I think the HKS is quiet, I own it. I think the Turboxs is the loudest.

ive heard all three with TP. Borla is the quietest by far. HKS is loud but deep, TurboXS is loud but high pitched, kinda like the nismo.

 

Great, thats what I needed to hear. I really can't tell too much from watching videos because most peoples cameras sound distorts from the noise. Thanks.

 

Few ppl in CZ have the Turbo exhaust and Borla exhaust. Post this question on there and see if you can meet up w/ them.

When people tell you they can hear you taking off a mile away they are not kidding !!!!!!!!

 

I personally heard a z with hks and test pipes, to my surprise it was not obnoxious or too loud, not sure what test pipes he had, but it sounds alot better in person than on you tube, z meet is the best way to analzye what you want !

 

yea with any TP u will have rasp but i like it....makes the exhaust come alive

 

ive heard the bassani with topspeed resonated test pipes, it's very loud. sounds good but loud. it will shake the ground on full rev.
