Default HFC! hope i dont go down in flames

hello all~~~~ haha

anywaise i have a nismo exhaust and wanted to get some HFC's!

i was thinking berk hfc were the ideal choice. i wanted to get test pipes orginally but i hate RASP and SMELL so i guess my only other option is HFC's.

anywaise the berk hfc's come in mettalic and ceramic.

i have heard horror stories about berk hfc cracking with the nismo Y pipe?

so since i know mettalic is stronger then the ceramic hfc's...
should i get the mattalic so they withstand cracking?

thanks!

yea i think im gonna go with berks~

just did a search on Fast Intentions HFC.. almost notting haha

Berks it is!

BUT damn im worried about cracking them with my NISMO exhaust..

i swear to god it seems like everyone has cracking issues with the nismo exhaust..

so lets say my berk hfc's cracked.. i go to exhaust shop and fix it.. weld it or watever..

then is it fixed? or can it happen again.. and again... and again...

if so.. is it even worth getting HFC's? cause i dont want to change my exhaust again..

NO MONEY! haha

The Nismo Exhaust has an updated Y-Pipe if it is a newer version. The Y-Pipe has a extra flange to distrobute the weight better. Some say that the Nismo Y-Pipe will crack even the stock cats, let alone any HFC. I was looking to go Nismo, but have opted to fo the Fast Intentions Exhaust route. I have the FI HFC and they are great! Plus, Tony at Fast Intentions is local so he always hooks up the best support. I would go with a different Y-pipe on the Nismo if you had a choice, you might end up cracking your Berk HFC's anyways.

Good Luck!

i used to have the nismo exhaust w/ megan v2 test pipe setup and it sounded great with minimal rasp....these test pipes never cracked with the nismo...imo hfc are too expensive and make a little less power than test pipes and sometimes produce just as much rasp as test pipes even if minimal so it's almost a no-brainer

good y-pipes are: motordyne xyz, jic, aam

How many people on here complain about rasp or say they don't like it, and don't even know what it is?? Same with heat soke. Guess i should post a poll about it.

ya definitely but make sure to get resonated...i would recommend the megan v2 test pipes with the flex joints...they sounded great with my old nismo setup and sound great with my evo2 now! you can fix cel's with non-foulers but i didnt bother. the smell is way overrated...it's not even bad at all

I would get res test pipes. Over High flow cats.

And did you not bother to get the 02 simulators because you didnt get a SRS light or just becauwse you don't care that its on?

Default narrowed down to 3! HFC's

So i have picked three HFC's

1. Berk HFC
2. Ultimate Racing HFC
3. Crawford HFC

Any input would be great!!!

I have a Nismo exhaust with MD Y pipe.
