Humm sorry, i don't have an experience with borla but you can ask borla owners tho, i know some people did.

 

I installed the borla exhaust on my z and had the same spitting noise around the h pipe also... took it in and had the clamp nuts impacted down and it still leaked by... took it to a mom pop muffler shop and had it welded. no more weird noise.

 

when i installed mine borla, i kept all the clamps loosen. then i adjusted the h pipe they way i wanted it and then tighten the clamp acording to specs. then i tighten all other clamps. so far i have not had any problems. hope it stay that way. but i have to say that i love the sound of this exhaust and performance. however they should have made the exhasut the flanges rather than clamps cause it is a pain in the as.s. i think once a go though a pot hole hard enought the exhasut may come lose and i will have to readjust.

 

yeah clamps kinda suck..but at least you can take it off you know..
im geting rid of the H pipe and going with the magnaflow X PIpe/muffler and test pipes(or HFC) from what people say that have done this,its a very good set up..
so yeah i suggest it to all borla owners.

 

oh yeah i've heard of the magnaflow h pipe. my set up is not bad since i have HFC. but i've heard if u have TP u should get the magnaflow H pipe

I have this same noise on my borla exhaust. I have headers and test pipes as well. Did the cat back first and still have that same sound. I think it's just the borla exhaust. Also it does it if you rev down in a gear..Like accelerate then just take your foot off the gas at like 5k rpms and you can hear it all the way down as it decelerates. Sucks

 

yup i think its just the borla H pipe sound.
