Default installing wideband sensor on dual exhaust

ok, so my wideband come with 1 sensor and i will be installing a true dual borla exhaust. I'm thinking it would be wise if the o2 sensor gets both banks of the engine to be most accurate. In order to do that i would need another sensor and splice htem together right?

I was also thinking of putting the wideband sensor in the H pipe of the borla exhaust.

What is everyone doing? just installing it on one downpipe and leaving it, or going down to the H pipe and putting it there, or using dual sensors and splicing them?

id rather not buy another sensor and splice.

thanks for your advice.

you can't simply spice two sensors together to read both banks. you would need a second wideband controller, and either a second display or a way to toggle between them (unless your display will work for 2 signals). The H pipe probably won't be a good locations because it is only going to equalize the banks, not provide a good constant exhaust flow. I've never tried it myself though, so maybe give it a try and see what happens.

hmm...so baiscally i'm only taking a wideband reading from 3 cylinders then. that doesn't seem like it's safe. What if something goes wrong on one of the other 3 cylinders?

is this what everyone else is doing or am I the only one that worries about this?

I think most people throw the wideband on the drivers side bank because it runs the most lean out of the 2, correct me if i'm wrong but thats what i remember reading about awhile back.

sweet, thanks!

after researching on google i see that people with dual exhaust and add a wideband usually do that on the drivers side. They add a port in front of the cat separate of the stock o2 sensors.

I'm going to do that for now until i tear it down and do a complete build.

Thanks for the help guys!
