Anyone out there using test pipes with an Injen SES exhaust? I would really like to get test pipes, but I am really concerned with how it will sound with my Injen exhaust.
hey bro, test pipes plus injen equals one loud mother f*****g exaust. trust me i have this set up. it will test your patience and you will be louder then damn near anything you pull up too. i will say this.............if you can get over the volume the combo is an excellent performance match. i personally had a custom h pipe welded in on the injen exaust. this brought the volume down slightly but it improved the sound drastically. if you are in the ny area you are more then welcome to take a listen. peace.
When you say that the H-pipe dramatically improved the sound quality, in what way do you mean? Where along the exhaust did you have the H-pipe installed?
i had it put in just before the resonators. it took out the raspyness and smothed out the sound drastically. i loved the sound of the injen alone but with the test pipes before the h pipe it was just too much. very raspy almost as if there was no exaust, lol
ive been runnig the ses for a while now, and i cant say its THAT loud???? mabey i need the test pipes? (guess what my next mod is going to be?????)....... HELLO OFFICER!!!

Just like NASA!! I'm thinking of running this same set-up, I already have some test pipes, that I got used, I think they are lsdunique's, I'm getting used to the smell, I'm starting to like it You can only smell it when your stopped and even then it's mild. I think Injen has the best exhaust out there based on (hp+tq)/weight. Stillen has better gains but it's just too heavy. I am concerned with the sound though. I may have to run either one or the other.
