Default Which exhaust is better?

Hi everyone. Im new to this forum and would like to say wasuup to everyone. ANywho, i want to start to do some upgrades to my car. I already have a CAI but now i am looking for exhaust. My question to those who have exhaust or any knowledge of them is which exhaust performs better? In the sense of HP and TQ. Ive heard of the borla true dual exhaust giving some good numbers and the stillen as well. BUT which one would u all recommend? Thanks any help would be appreciated.

Borla produced the most power according to Sport Z Magazine's Exhaust Shootout. I would suggest buying a copy and read up on everything they tested.

(See that, Bob??? I'm such a good subscriber! I'm promoting your magazine free of charge! lol)

Hey Speedy, how much hp did the Borla produce in their tests?

Fernandito, the true dual is the one you want.

Fernandito the stillen is good but is to heavy... between the Borla and the Stillen, go with Borla...

P.S. Solo ten cuidado con las abrazaderas, se sueltan con el tiempo... I hope you understand spanish!

Then Injen and Stillen produced the most HP and Torque. I think the Injen is one of the lighter ones tho. I would say if performance is your only criteria, the Injen beats the Borla (its what downshft is racing with). I believe it had like .6 HP less, but 4 or so more Torque.

Lots of people dont like Injens look tho.

I noticed you're in San Jose. There are only 2 Zs around the Bay Area w/ Injen SES angled version that I'm aware of. If you don't mind waiting, they're releasing their straight version sometime next month.

Default What about the Nismo???

I went on their website and downloaded all the movies which U can see and hear each one. To me the Nismo sounded pretty mean but I don't know about how loud it really is...I don't want another loud exhaust...I had a Tanabe Racing Medalion on Integra GS-R and that sucker was loud!! It sounded nice but after having that I don't want that kind of exhaust again because all it does is attract a lot of cops!!

anybody have any thoughts on the number of pieces involved with the borla dual. i'm worried about ease of gettin a solid install, and also i have precognitions of stuff loosenin up causin leaks.

If I remember correctly, there are 7 pieces and 9 clamps for the system. So, 9 connections to check for leaks is just too much if you ask me.

yeah, it's gettin to crunch time and that is the one thing that has me worried. another thing is the sound. some people say it's too musclely, and then others say it sounds stock. i guess people just have different opinions.
