Nismo Air Intake Issues--HELP!!!!!
Hello all, I'm new to this forum.. I have a little issue. Yesterday I installed my new Nismo cold Air Intake to my '03 350Z and this is the issue that I am having.
1) the car turns on, but after a few seconds it turns off. I sounds like the new intake is throwing off the Air Sensor.
2) So I took off the sensor that connects to the intake and the car starts. But now the check engin light comes on. Then I plug the Sensor back in and gave it a little gas. The could hear the intake working, but it idles weird sounds like it wants to shut off.
3) Then I took it out and tried testing it. The car will not go pass 3000rpm and stalls. I gave it gas but nothing.
Can it be the ECU. DO I need to reset it. If so, please give instructions.
Thanks...

Manual Method
Here is a quick way to reset your ECU. It is also known to clear codes thrown, and turn off the "Service Engine Soon" Light. It's a little tricky, but works.
Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON†and wait 3 seconds.
Repeat the following two procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds:
Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
Fully release the accelerator pedal.
Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
Wait about 10 seconds.
Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
Turn ignition switch to “OFF†position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.

Thanks. I figured it out. It was the sensor. It was installed backwards. Wish I would've read this before signing out...lol I took the Intaked out 3 times. So I decided to put the stock one back on. When I did this, it did the same thing. So my father in-law who was helping me noticed it.... We felt dumb afterwards...
