Default Motordyne Dual Shockwave

Hey, First of all I would like to thank Tony from Motordyne for making this sick exhaust. The quality of the exhaust is top notch and he provides excellent customer service. Now down to the video. Sorry it is small at the moment. I will edit the video tom, to enlarge it. I have the Motordyne Dual Shockwave with the resonator. I am running resonated test pipes, jwt pop charger, and kinetix upper plenum.

Sounds GREAT!

When you say "dual shockwave w/ resonator" does that mean you have the XYZ pipe as well? When you bought the exhaust, how much was it & what came with it?

I think Im going to go XYZ pipe, shockwave single Ti. tip, Berk Technology test pipes & the 06+ OEM airbox.

Idk mine and robs are close but I think the test pipes open the exhaust up more. I think it gives it more a throaty tone. I'm sure rob will contribute to this.

Thanks, I have the xyz then the resonator connects to that then it goes into the muffler then out to the two pipes. Talk to Tony at Motordyne he will help you with anything. I belive I put a link to his exhaust page earlier.

Its 2.5 to 3". It stays 2.5 long enough to optimize low end torque, then it opens up to 3".

And yes to the above question about the exhaust coming with the xyz pipe.

^really?!

hmm... that means that you have a 3" pipe mating with a 2.5" pipe at the test pipe - XYZ pipe interface, which doesnt have a nice transition. are you sure its 3"??

I said, 2.5 to 3". Look at the pics, you can see where it turns into 3".

The transition occurs at the end of the midpipe where it uses a diffuser for a controlled expansion to 3". The diffuser reduces pressure drop and improves the sound.

In the case of the TDX, it diffuses from dual 2.5" to dual 3" half way down the midpipe and uses diffusers for the diameter transition as well.
