Why don't you get an OEM exhaust, and weld in an E-Cutout just before the muffler?? I did this. It sounds amazing, no rasp, and you can close it with a push of a button!! Had mine for two years with zero leaks or issues.

P.S Prepare to get flamed for not searching!!

BOOO i did search lol, i went through the sticky thread but most of the images dont work anymore. Interesting product you have there. So that basically muffles the sound, but if i got an oem exhaust i wouldnt need to muffle the sound. Wouldnt it already be pretty quiet comparatively?

When the you open the dump, it basically becomes a straight pipe (no muffler). But it's far enough down the line, plus it still uses the resonator, that it's not raspy/ricey. It actually sounds amazinly good!! Esp at higher RMPs.

I know there are those out there that would consider this a "cheap" mod because it doesn't have the "bling" or name brand factor that alot of people go for. But to be honest, i have yet to ride in a Z with aftermarket exhaust that i like more then this.

BTW I have this done on a Nismo exhaust. But i'd imagine it'd basically sound the same on OEM exhaust.

Nismo sounds great. Never regretted getting mine. Fits '03 w/o issues.

Good luck!

The S-Tune.

The one from the Nismo edition Z looks wierd on a stock Z.
And it's basically an OEM exhaust with big tips and a Nismo stamp.

yea look into bassani, it's the "IT" thing right now for 350z owners lol. I love mine. Stillen is nice, but it's too heavy from what i hear.

How heavy is "too heavy"?

^well if im going to upgrade my exhaust from stock i want it to be lighter. NO point in paying $ to add weight IMO. My bassani is pretty heavy too, but i think it isn't as heavy as Stillen.

Our cars weigh a ton, you aren't gonna to notice 15 or 20 lbs. I understand every little bit helps. But unless you are going for extreme weight reduction in addition, i wouldn't even let this little bit of extra weight be a thought.

Pull the weight out of your hatch to offset, if you are that worried about it.
