Default Spacer/Plenum and HFC

I posted before about the Skunk2 exhaust but I decided to go ahead and purchase the MD Shockwave single. I will be buying the XYZ later on. Now the next mod I'm thinking of purchasing is a spacer and HFC.

As far as spacers go, and from the feedback that I've read in the different posts, I'm in between the PowerLab spacer and the Kinetix V+ plenum for my revup. I dont want testpipes because it's going to be too extreme with the MD shockwave single, and I'm in between the Kinetix HFC and the Stillen HFC. Kinetix has a deal on the Plenum and HFC for $600. I'm going to stay NA all the way and i just want to get the most out of my car without having to spend a fortune on it. I need some opinions and feedback on these items that I;m debating on getting. Let me know guys, I'm always open to suggestions and comments.

Why not go with the MD 5/16th spacer and MD Mrev2? It has shown proven gains, over and over again.
I would also avoid the Kinetix V+. You will loose power.

It should prove to be of some value, as I installed & dyno'd the same mods you are looking to purchase.

Surprised that you would choose a upper plenum after reviewing the plenum vs plenum spacer shoot out.

I posted photos of my Kinetix high-flow catelitic converters after they feel apart.

Time to do some digging. Before I do, let me ask, was he using it in an NA or FI application?

One more thing everyone has to remember is that when you venture into the world of FI, its almost like we're going into the world of the unknown. Its all based on the driving conditions the part is subjected to.

In these cases, a lot of parts are put through tremendous stress and pressure that things which normally wouldn't break on an NA car are more likely to fail under that high level of stress.

Even though Berk advertises that their product works for NA and FI applications, for the guy who's running 900-1000+ whp on 40 psi he may need straight pipes. Think about how much exhaust pressure and hot gases are flowing through those pipes especially during peak boost. An HFC or any cat is more likely to fail under that high level of stress.

Now if its someone who's FI car is around 350-400whp on like 6-8 lbs of boost maybe the HFCs can still safely function long term again depending on the conditions the car and exhaust are subject to during the driver's use if that makes sense

^^^^ Agreed the 5/16 md spacer and Mrev2 even benefit the DE motor in terms of performance let alone the gains you get with the HR.

Couple that with perhaps a crawford z plenum and who knows.

I will be going this route along with a good tune could yield some decent numbers in torque and hp.

The MD spacer and Mrev2 together is super expensive to buy and It's kinda out of my budget right now. I've seen on the forums that people are getting decent gains from the Powerlab spacer on revup motors. I already decided not to get the Kinetix and I'm just going to stick with a spacer instead.
