It's my experience that no test pipes are really gonna gain that much power. I have 2.5" AAM's, and I really just bought them because I knew the quality was there. Good guys at that shop, and they don't sell junk. That said, I'd say most mainstream companies are competent enough to sell good test pipes. If power gains are what you're looking for, I'd probably look elsewhere. Maybe a plenum spacer or something.

Good luck either way.

Take horsepower claims with a grain of salt. A test pipe is an empty piece of pipe. Not much engineering here. What you may get for $200 versus $100 is reliability. But even this rule has proven fallible.

Helix SS Test Pipes: 28,512 miles and still in one piece (knock on wood).

Ok so I put these test pipes on my 07 HR 350Z while I was running my stock exhaust and I hated them. So raspy I didn't drive her till I got my following paycheck and went to aam and had them install the y pipe and their single exhaust. Now I got to say it was a major difference lost a little low end torque but up top gains u can feel seriously. A little loud for some but the silencer helps with that. What type of exhaust do u plan to use with these?
