Is this the XYZ pipe we're talking about?

http://www.thenismoshop.com/MOTORDYN...INE_p_444.html

If so, I want to give it a try. I have AAM HFCs and a tune. The rasp really isn't bad and it's not a bad sounding rasp, but if this Y-Pipe might help get rid of some of it, I want to try it.

What're the chances that you'd think it'd help?

Anyone have any other clips? I just added ART + XYZ/w res and the resonator cleans things up, but you do not get the mean sound anymore on decel or downshift.

Im wondering if the HFC module would make a difference?

I got ART + XYZ + Amuse R1 Ti. The straight pipe module was perfect for me no rasp or drone. I didn't really like the resonator module much, but it does clean up hissing sound on decel.

I'm trying to get clips of the HFC and the res module at the weekend for comparison. The rest of the system is stock bar the ART pipes.

Sorry, made a complete mess of getting this up in time.

Config is ART > XYZ + resonator > stock mid > stock muffler

Recording is separate stereo mic.

sounds really good actually . . . i guess ART pipes are doing that mostly . . you should try looking into a s-tune if you want to make it louder / deeper

yeah the increase is slight . . . TDX2 sounds really good too and is a true dial unlike the s tune

Did you ever gather any clips of HFC and Resonated xyz-pipe and any brand exhaust?

I have to ditch my Art pipes and go back to HFC's with my MD xyz-pipe which is resonated and tanabe exhaust. I want to know how it might sound. Im guessing not as clean.

I only got those two module changes and the stock exhaust, i then moved to the Shockwave with HFC mod and then with regular straight pipes on the Shockwave.

Regular HFC's will give some rasp, but the res module on the XYZ will help a lot of that, you'll also loose some of the bass without ARTs.

Can anyone comment on what the differences are that I might see with the XYZ + resonator vs. HFC section? Right now I'm running Z1 2.5in Test Pipes, AAM Competition Y-Pipe, and a Momentum Performance dual exhaust. It is LOUD. I don't really notice/mind the rasp it has, but I'm wanting to tone down the db's and highway noise just a tad. I figured HFC section would be my best bet, but I just wanted to hear any other experiences/opinions. I don't mind my current setup at all, honestly. It just only gets annoying when I have someone riding with me and we're trying to carry on a conversation. I want to keep my test pipes (eventually going to be ART's), and intend to switch to the Shockwave exhaust someday, but I'm still loving my Momentum setup.

Thanks for the help!
