Motordyne resonated Y-pipe ( XYZ ) - Sound
Looking to quiet down some raspy TP's . Right now with a Tanabe Y it is almost unbearable inside, so I am wondering if Tony's Resonated Y would help, and is the difference that significant ?
If anyone has it , and experienced before and after , I would appreciate the comments.
This is what it sounds like with Tanabe Y, AAM TP, Amuse Ti

edit : how about "try b4 u buy" ? hint hint !

In any case, it'll certainly reduce the rasp and may even eliminate it. But how much depends on the interaction of the various exhaust parts.
It can be anywhere from moderate to complete elimination of rasp.

^^^^
Everyone has there opinion on what sounds good to them.
To me its sounds perfect imo.
But to each his own.
^ this performs absolutely stunning as well, and the build quality is superb, however this is too loud and i guess the g needs a little tune.. idk about that though.
That's interesting. Some have said the Harakiri with stock cats isn't loud enough but its only a few dB quieter than the Shockwave with stock cats. And they both have similar sounds.
The real kicker is when test pipes are used. That brings either one up about 15 dB.
The Invidia test pipes used in the video above are 2" test pipes. And that alone brings it up another 2-3 dB. 2" diameter test pipes are notably louder than 2.5" test pipes.
