Motordyne resonated Y-pipe ( XYZ ) - Sound
For the difference between the HFC and res module on the XYZ, the res cuts down more noise and rasp than the HFC does.
Your noise when cruising problem, will be affected, but i don't know by how much, it doesn't sound like that momentum system has good cruise characteristics, makes me glad i got the Shockwave.

That's good to know, I'm definitely more interested in just taming this system a bit. I love an extremely aggressive exhaust, but just ready to tone it back slightly is all. Plus, I like the research Tony has done on the best merge point for our Y-Pipes, so there could be some performance gain to be had as well with swapping the AAM piece to the XYZ.
I actually got the Momentum system on here off of the marketplace still BNIB at $450 under MSRP so I didn't pass it up. Overall, I'm very happy with it and looks fantastic with my bumper tuck and 295s out back. Very meaty looking.

Sorry, made a complete mess of getting this up in time.
Config is ART > XYZ + resonator > stock mid > stock muffler

The 2-bolt flange that connects that outlet of the XYZ pipe to the inlet of the stock mid pipe - what did you do about the change from 2.5" to 3"?
Nothing, in reality, it was a very small amount, it's technically only a quarter inch all the way around, and again, the reality part, there was only the smallest of lips and it ran fine.
