Default Header Questions...Please Help!!!

I have an 03 350z with nismo CAI and Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust. Im finally looking to get headers and i have no idea what i should look into. Modacar.com has Forcefed Headers for cheap but i feel like i would get what i pay for (****). Any ideas? If these headers suck give me some ideas of headers that give the best bang for the buck.

Thanks.

Good quality headers are quite expensive. My advice would be to keep checking the classifieds section to find some high quality used headers.

You can get Strup headers for not much more than $550 - but the installation cost is generally pretty high ($300 +). The gains are decent - but definitely not your best bang for the buck.

Bang for the buck and headers have absolutely no reason to be included in the same sentence. Minimal gains and high price=waste. If this were a built motor w/ cams, etc.......then it's worthwhile. On a stock long block they are NOT.

If you buy cheap test pipes, and they fall apart after 10,000 miles, you can replace them in about 2 hours. On the other hand, if you buy cheap headers, and they break, you are in for one hell of a headache!

Above: Alphawerks Stainless Steel Headers . 45,064 miles and they keep going and going (knock on wood).

How often do you get inspected? I have had them on my car for a while now. Yes, they are illegal.

DC headers are terrible, and The Stillen seems to have a rather large tradeoff. Avoid both, and look into Megan Racing long tubes (yeah, crazy but true) And Alfaworks headers supposedly have good gains. I've also seen a few graphs on the Styup headers, and the gains are good despite it being said it is similar to the DCs.

Ignore the rest.
