K&N Filter
I am getting tired of replacing my OEM filter every couple thousand miles and not being able to properly clean it. In your experiences, are they worth the purchase?
...........AND WHERE IS THE CHEAPEST PLACE TO BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

i would say no.
1. because even tho u can clean them and recharge them, if u mess up. you could get oil on to the maf sensor and create more problems than its worth.
2. or you could not put enough oil on to the filter and have dirt get into your engine.
so in short, the risk is not worth the reward.
i opted to go with the AMSOIL air filter for the best possible fiteration.

Where are you driving that it gets dirty every couple thousand miles ?
I would just get the K&N, they run about $40 and you should only need to clean it about every 10k miles.

OEM filter can easily go 15-30K miles before replacement. It's not a whole lot of trouble to replace, it is?
Cleaning and oiling a K&N or other aftermarket filter IS more trouble IMO. If you don't oil it correctly, you risk it not filtering properly or fouling the MAF sensor with oil.
A good dry paper filter will clean the air significantly better than any oiled filter. There IS a reason that they claim higher flow rates than paper filters - they don't filter as efficiently.

With the 350Z and other cars that run the same type of MAF sensors, we only recommend factory or dry flowing filters without oil. There are a few that we have treid that works great with the 350Z. Some are just drop ins like the K&N<---crap or get Blitz or HKS, or go with a short ram intake if you want some more grunt but don't mind forking over some more green.
Here are some different types of intakes that you can do research on

Here are the replacements that we have used in the past and work great

I have a popcharger and have never had any issues oiling my filter, problems with the MAP etc. Maybe its just me but its not that big a deal. Dont saturate the freaking filter with oil but dont leave it dry either. Not too hard.
