I guess if you go in from the top and a long extension. I just did it all from the bottom.

I went in from the top for one bolt on each side. To reach the nut from the top, you have to remove the intake on the driver's side. The passenger's side is a straight shot. There wasn't enough room to get these two bolts out from the bottom on my G (or at least I couldn't find the room).

Obviously, if you can get the bolts or nuts off from the bottom, then you don't have to remove your intake.

You are the only person I have heard of going in from the top. It seems like everyone else like doing it all from the bottom.

I have seen one other person post about going in from the top. Remember I have a G, which may be slightly different than the Z and since almost all of the posts here are for the Z, that may be why.

For me, going in from the top took all of five extra minutes. My intake tube is a little easier to remove than yours. Mine just has one bolt and two hose clamps because my tube does not bolt up to my throttle body like yours.

i didn't touch anything intake related

went in from the bottom, you will need a wrench of the same size.
