Default testpipe question

I am currently looking into getting a set of test pipes and noticed that some brands have the long sensor port to eliminate the cel and some just have the standard length port. Just wondering if anyones ever had any issues with the longer ports cracking at the weld due to the top portion cooling faster or if they are just as reliable as getting pipes with the standard ports and installing the extensions to eliminate the cel. Also one more thing is that I have the hks dual and I'm not sure if I should be looking for a set of test pipes with the mounting brackets or if the hks dual is rigid enough to support the system without the brackets.

The long port supports little weight. Just the oxygen sensor.

The test pipe support bracket no-support bracket debate is 5 years old. Look under the car. Whatever is between the exhaust manifold and first exhaust hanger hangs unsupported. You can decide on support no-support.

I realize that the port only supports the o2 sensor. My question was about the top portion of the longer port cooling faster than the weld where it goes into the pipe. Cooling faster thus contracting faster and ending up cracking at the weld. My next question was geared towards owners of the hks dual exhaust and if any issues were known with adding test pipes with no brackets.

The top portion cooling faster won't break your welds, and buying testpipes with brackets is always a smart idea regardless of which exhaust you're using.

Thanks for the responses, I think I'll be looking for a set with brackets
