Default CAI or not

Hey guys im lookin to buy an intake for my 03 touring Z but im having trouble makin a decision...i know there is a few posts on here but i have some personal cons i cant decide over.

The two im looking at are the JWT pop charger and the K&N Typhoon Intake. Also if you have an opinion that there is a better intake for under 350$ out there please give me your input!...Yes i know that its hard to compare intakes when one is a CAI and ones obviously just a filter and a heat shield, im looking for opinions with support behind them not just "the pop charger cause everyones got it"

Iv'e read that going with the pop charger is the most power you can get outta your intake without going CAI..What downsides are there by going CAI besides hydrolocking-not an issue if i have the bypass valve.

JWT pros: $107 w/ shipping included, LOVE the sound and performance is pretty decent
JWT cons: Very nervous about the stalling issue, is it really that bad/ worth not getting it? also not CAI. ~5hp. Lose low end torque???

I don't remember where i read it but i recall the K&N gettin ~10hp? cant be to wheels...anyone know what the approx rwhp is?

K&N pros: CAI, bypass valve (no hydro-locking yay!) ~10hp also sounds pretty badass
K4N cons: more than double price of JWT, not sure of any other cons let me know of some please..

I also read that its a pain in the *** to clean the filter in the K&N and people were actually just switching to the pop charger cause its easier to clean. Should this be something that steers me away from the K&N?

Thanks!

i just installed my pop charger and i havent had any stalling problems. i disconnected the battery installed the intake... reconnected battery, took for a test drive everything was fine. no light/stalling or any problem at all. as for HP gain i didnt notice much if any. it does sound pretty sick though when its WOT. i think the stalling problem is only happening to ppl who didnt disconnect the battery (i could be wrong on this) plus i heard it only stalls if u go like 60 mph and throw the car in neutral.

Less than 8 hours from post to leaving the forum. It's like the olympics, getting down to that best time.

It doesn't matter. Pick one. The car won't be any faster. Seriously.
